eSIM or SIM card for Dubai?

  • UAE eSIM: arrives by email within minutes and is installed by scanning a QR code. The quickest option if your phone supports eSIM, ideal for a stopover or a last-minute trip.
  • UAE SIM card: a 3-in-1 SIM card (standard, micro and nano) for any unlocked phone, with plans from 5GB for 15 days up to 25GB for 30 days. Shipped free, worldwide.

Where it works

You get fast 4G LTE mobile data in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. If one network isn't available, your eSIM or SIM card automatically connects to another local network, and you can share your data with a hotspot.

Your apps, just like at home

Your data travels over our international network, not the local network, so you can keep using your usual messaging, maps, email and social media apps without setting up a VPN. Some features, such as voice and video calls in certain messaging apps, can be restricted by local regulations.

How much data do you need in Dubai?

  • 5GB, 15 days: a short city break or stopover with maps, messaging and social media.
  • 10GB, 15 days: video calls home, photo uploads and music.
  • 15GB, 30 days: longer stays and round trips through the Emirates.
  • 25GB, 30 days: remote working, streaming and sharing via hotspot.

The UAE eSIM comes with 15GB for 30 days; the SIM card is available with all four plans.

How to get online in Dubai

  1. Order your eSIM or SIM card before you travel.
  2. Install the eSIM straight away, ideally at home on Wi-Fi, or keep your SIM card ready for the flight.
  3. When you land, switch on the eSIM line (or insert the SIM card) and turn on data roaming for it in your phone settings. You're connected.
